Meet Saje Nicole, Actress and Model

BEING MAAJI

Unique, confident, and talented are some of the many words that describe Saje Nicole, an amazing actress and model who was definitely one of our Spritzer House 2021 Show highlights.

We discovered Saje last year, and she walked with us on Sacred Fauna Spring 21 Show, and since then... It has completely catapulted her career! Thanks to this, she will be featured in the next Sports Illustrated issue. We are so inspired by Saje, her words of inclusion, empowerment, and attitude that we wanted all our readers to meet her.

Here is a short and fun Q&A to get to know Saje; enjoy!

How has your career changed since last year’s Maaji’s Runway?

It has completely catapulted my career, to be honest. Because when you are on the stage and there's are so many eyes watching, it validates you even more. Since walking for Maaji I’ve had recently shot with Sports Illustrated, I have booked billboards with Skims. I even have a show coming out, Making the Cut 2, I’m on season 2. So Maaji definitely helped me in my career!

Who inspires you?

I would say my mom, Oprah, Viola Davis, Tyra, I have so many people. I pull different things from different people, and I think that is how you really get to learn, about yourself and the world. So, I have a lot of inspiration!

The women. We talk about women empowerment all the time. The Swim Search community is so tight, and they really care about each other. Part of the best experience in Swim Search, especially during quarantine, is having the community of women who talk to you and support you.

How has your Sports Illustrated photoshoot experience?

The best! While we were on set, we also documented our experience. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life. It’s very different. You are excited, nervous, and there are so many emotions. The team was amazing and the images... I just got some sneak peeks and its breath taking!

I love a blue suit you have that has texture, flower print and is high waisted, paired with a halter.

A portable charger. I need to have my phone at all times.

What would you eat every day if you could?

That is easy! Tassot, is fried turkey that we make in Haitian culture, it’s seasoned very well, it’s fried but it’s still soft, so good! I can eat that every single day.
